Create viral social clips from long videos with AI Shorts
Creating completely customized social cuts has never been faster, thanks to our new AI Shorts tool.
While we’ve been steadily introducing AI tools to Scenery over the past year, today we’re launching a brand new tool to make creating social clips faster than ever.
AI Shorts: create viral social shorts from long videos
Our new AI Shorts workflow lets you create 10+ social clips in a click — then customize them as you see fit with the full power of Scenery’s editing tools and Brand Kit.
For enterprise customers, we’re able to automate this process by integrating with your content pipeline so your editorial teams can review and publish ready-to-go social content as soon as your shows finish broadcasting. (If this sounds interesting to you, let’s talk.)
With this release we’re bringing all our AI power together in a focused workflow that gets you to usable social content in a snap. But we also know that professional editorial teams don’t want to be stuck with what AI creates — which is why you have full editing power and control to customize what AI creates in our timeline editor.
A best in class AI model for finding viral video moments
We worked with top content creators whose videos have gained more than 100M+ views to create a model that finds truly viral moments. This sits on top of our powerful editing toolset and brand kit, allowing teams to produce branded content with key frame accuracy at a scale not yet seen in the market.
We’ll talk more about how we’ve made that happen below, but first, let’s take a quick look at what AI shorts is and how it works.
How to create Branded AI Shorts with Scenery
Now within your projects you’ll see a new section of your project tab labeled AI Shorts. One you open that up, you can create social content in a few steps:
- Select media. Select a longer video that you want to repurpose for social media clips.
- Configure your desired output. Provide keywords to focus on, choose your branded subtitle styles, and set a desired duration for your clips.
- Submit your video and wait for results. We’ll send you an email to let you know we’ve started working on your clips, and then another one when everything’s ready for review.
- Review your AI Shorts. Browse and preview your AI Shorts, ranked by their virality score, and decide which ones you want to save to your project.
- Edit with the full power of Scenery. If you want to add your brand’s subtitle styles, preview your content with social overlays, or take your videos to the next level with any custom edits, you can easily do that with the full power of Scenery’s editor.
- Export and publish. Once you’re happy with your clips, you can go ahead and export them for publishing to whatever channels you have in mind.
How virality score is calculated for AI Shorts
As we create your AI Shorts, we have an AI-powered editor analyzing your content and — with your guidance on topics and desired length — determining what stories and content are the best options for social clips.
The tech “under the hood” that powers this engine is a fine-tuned and tested AI engine that we’ve engineered to create content based on the qualities that make social media content engaging. While the precise details of what goes into that engine are proprietary to our tech, high level we ask the AI editor to focus on creating content with high performing qualities such as:
- Exciting openings and hooks. Does the clip draw viewers in and create interest in the first few seconds?
- Engaging and interesting excerpts. Is the content interesting, thought provoking, and engaging to viewers?
- Clear and concise story lines. Does the video have a clear narrative that's easy to follow and interesting to viewers?
With this direction, our AI engine creates the AI Shorts for you to review, and we rank the results with a formula that evaluates how the content fulfills those criteria, as well as how relevant the outputted content is to the keywords you specified in the creation process.
Our goal is to produce great first drafts but give you the power and control to make it the edit that you want, all in one collaborative tool.
